"The time has come for me to ascend to the digital world". In other words, from this moment on, all of my future drawings will be digital. Yeah, about damn time!
Why the change? Well, there are a bazillion different reasons for this major overhaul, but the biggest one is actually really simple. My drawings never look the same after I have scanned them. This may not sound like a big deal, but let me explain a bit. You see, my scanner has a habit of throwing certain colours and shapes off. For example, in my latest drawing (Sunset Sparkle ReDux), both Sunset's and Twilight's eyebrows were 100% visible IRL thanks to a small white line under them. Well you can't really say the same about the scanned version, can you? In fact, almost all the colours are ALWAYS off. Purple is blue, orange is red, grey is black, and the list goes on forever. I've tried to change the settings in my scanner for like a hundred times, but I never does anything. The drawing that is in my hands is never the same thing that I upload here... This may seem like an angry rant, but I'm positive that people who have had the same problem can understand what I'm saying. All this has really bothered me ever since I restarted my page here on Dev.Art a few years ago...
But no more.
This is the fresh start that the original restart was supposed to be.
And it feels good! It doesn't take me that long to do something awesome on a PC. I used to spend like a couple of weeks on a single drawing, but now I can do so much more and much more awesome in just a couple of days.
So, that sums it up pretty perfectly,
Thanx for reading this wall of text, and I can't wait to show you all what I've been working on for these past few days.
I really look forward to seeing it, your art baffles me and I'm sure that with the extended arm that is digital drawing, you can work more of your Lazer God-magic
Let the freshness of the start commence
